Making Money Online Program

Step-by-Step Guide

Before we begin:

This guide is an abbreviated outline of what you need to do to get a website up and running, ranked on Google’s Page-1 and eventually, making money for you.  Most of the techniques and processes in this guide I learned from a program called:  “Bring the Fresh.”  This guide was written entirely by me, in my own words and tremendous care was taken not to plagiarize Bring the Fresh.  I have TREMENDOUS respect and admiration for the authors of Bring the Fresh – I owe 100% of my success with Internet Marketing to them.  If you like what you learn in this guide and you want MUCH, MUCH MORE, please click on the “Bring the Fresh” link at the end of this guide and order Bring the Fresh.  It’s honestly the best $97 bucks you will EVER spend.  The information in this guide is about 1/1000 of the information contained in Bring the Fresh.  Plus, as a Bring the Fresh member, you have direct access to the authors who are there to answer questions and guide you along the way.  It’s a life-time membership for less than $100 bucks and well worth every penny.  Again, click on the link at the end of this guide for a Bring the Fresh membership.

Now, let’s get started!

Step-1 Market Research & Keyword Selection:

First, you will need to find a program or product that you want to sell online.  There are many different affiliate programs available and each of them have different products or programs available to sell.  Find one or more affiliate websites and get signed up as an affiliate (this is free).  Here is a list of just a few that you might be interested in:

www.amazon.com

www.copeac.com

www.clickbank.com

www.cj.com

Once you have signed up as an affiliate, you can browse through their products or programs and find something that you would like to sell online.  Once you have identified your first item (let’s say it’s the Acai Berry promotion through Copeac.com), now you will need to find a keyword to match the product.

SEO (Search Engine Optimization) is all about keyword selection.  There is a lot of market research involved in choosing the best keyword for your particular project. You need to find a keyword that people will actually search for.  At the same time, you want your keyword to be one that people have historically not only searched for, but once they found what they were looking for, they actually purchased something.  There are statistics available that can tell you that on any given keyword, a specific percentage of people who searched that keyword, did so with their credit cards in-hand and read to buy.  Finding the perfect keyword can be tricky but there are some tools available that can help tremendously.

To do some research and find a good keyword, you can go to the Google Keyword Tool (just search “keyword tool” on Google).  Google’s Keyword Tool will give you stats on how many times a particular keyword was searched per day.  You can also look up trends in terms of months out of the year that the keyword was searched for more than others for example.  There is an amazing program called “Market Samurai” that will give you all the information from Google in one, very easy to use tool.  Market Samurai is basically “The Standard” for all Internet Marketing Gurus.  I recommend using Market Samurai – it’s an awesome tool with a TON of features and it even has a free trial.  You can sign up for your free trial of Market Samurai by clicking the link below:

MarketSamurai.com

Once you have identified the perfect keyword to go with your product (let’s use “acai berry colon cleanse” in this example), now you need to find the domain to match your keyword.

Click on GoDaddy.com and do a search for your keyword:

In this example, you would be searching for the domain: “acaiberrycoloncleanse.com.”  Always try to find either the .com, .net or .org version of your keyword (.com is best).  I wouldn’t waste time with any of the other suffixes:  .tv, .us, etc…  For purposes of this example, let’s assume that this keyword is available.  If it’s not, you will need to go back to Market Samurai and find the next best keyword to use.  Just keep going back and forth between Market Samurai and GoDaddy until you are able to purchase a domain that matches your chosen keyword.  So, you would purchase the domain (usually about $8.00 – $11.00) and register it to you (just follow the prompts on GoDaddy.com).

Once you own the domain, you need to host it to be able to put a website up.  GoDaddy offers hosting accounts but they are a bit pricy.  HostGator is the best and least expensive I’ve found and it’s what I use for all my websites.  You can get a hosting account for as little as $4.95 per month.  They also have awesome analytics (tools you can use to track the traffic on your websites).  Get the “baby” hosting account at HostGator by clicking the link below:

HostGator.com

Once you have your hosting account you need to bring your domain over from GoDaddy to HostGator.  This part gets a little technical so just follow these steps to the letter and you will be fine:

1.  Log into your HostGator C-Panel with the username and password you created when you signed up for your hosting account.  On the bottom/left of the page you will see the NameServers for your account.  There will be two of them and they look something like this: ns2156.hostgator.com.  Write these down somewhere

2.  Log into your GoDaddy account and go to your Domain Manager (My Domains).  Click on the domain you bought for this project (acaiberrycoloncleanse.com)

3.  Click on the top of the page, on the link: “Nameservers”

4.  Click on “Set Nameservers”

5.  Select the radio button:  “I have specific nameservers for my domains”

6.  Either type in, or cut & paste the two nameservers from your HostGator C-Panel into the first two fields in GoDaddy

7.  Click “okay”

8.  Go back to your HostGator C-Panel and click on the “Addon Domains” icon

9.  Enter the domain name and a password that you will use for this domain.  Then click “add domain.”

To review, we changed the name servers from GoDaddy to HostGator.  Then we added the domain to your HostGator hosting account.  Now, you need to create a website for the domain.  Follow these instructions step-by-step:

1.  Back at your HostGator C-Panel, find the section called “Software/Services”

2.  Click on “Fantastico Delux”

3.  Click “Wordpress”

4.  Click “new installation”

5.  Choose your domain from the drop-down menu

6.  Make sure to leave the directory field blank

7.  Create a username and password

8.  Click “install WordPress”

Congratulations!  You have just created your first WordPress affiliate website!  You can go to your domain on the web and see it there if you wish.  Don’t worry if you don’t like the way it looks.  We are going to make changes to the site next.

To make changes to the site, you will need to get to the “Admin” section of your site.  If you are on the site, you might see a link to log in as an Admin.  Another way to log in is to type the following in your address bar:

www.yourwebsite.com/wp-admin

Log in using the username and password you chose when you installed WordPress and you should find yourself in the admin section of your site.  Now do the following:

1.  Click on “General” on the right

2.  For the Title, use your keyword (Acai Berry Colon Cleanse)

3.  For the Tagline, use your keyword again with a short blurb after it (ex:  Acai Berry Colon Cleanse – Detox your body with Acai Berry!)

4.  Save changes

Now go to the “Pages” tab on the left of the site.  Mouse over the “About” page and click “edit.”  Change the page name to “Disclosure.”  For the page text, you just need to write a few words about commissions to be in compliance with FTC regulations.  Something like “Some of the links on this site may result in commissions paid to the administrator.”  I don’t think anyone ever looks at the disclosure page and it’s a good idea to do this to stay out of trouble with the FTC.

Next we are going to change the way the site looks and add some tools to help your site get ranked with Google and the other search engines.

Go to the “Appearance” tab and do the following:

1.  Click on “Add New Themes”

2.  Click the “Add New” button

3.  Search for a theme that you like the looks of – maybe one that has something to do with your subject matter.  You can browse the “Featured” or the “Recently Updated” themes or you can enter a search term like “clean” or “white” or maybe “nature.”  Just look around until you find one you like.  Once you found THE theme, click on “Install.”  Follow the prompts to install and activate the theme.

4.  Go back to your site on the web and make sure the theme installed correctly and that you like the way it looks.

Now we are going to add some “Plugins” to help to make your website more SEO friendly.

Click on the “Plugins” link on the far left of the Admin area of your site.  A Plugin is like a mini-software that “plugs In” to your WordPress blog website.  There are a TON of plugins available and most of them are free.  Below, you will find a list of most of the plugins that I use.  The following plugins are free:

1.  All in one SEO pack (helps Google find your site)

2.  SEO friendly images (assigns alt text to the images on your site

3.  SEO smart links (assigns alt text to the links on your site)

4.  Twitter Tools (Makes a “Tweet” every time you make a post on your site)

There is one more plugin that I highly suggest you get.  It’s called “WP Syndicator.”  Basically, it will syndicate your site’s content across several different Web 2.0 sites on the net.  I’ve experienced HUGE traffic surges and much quicker page ranking since I’ve started using WP Syndicator.  This plugin is not free (it’s $49.95 for a single license).  In my opinion, it’s well worth the money but it’s NOT 100% necessary.  You can pretty much do what the plugin does on your own manually, it would just take MUCH longer to post all that content on all the different sites.  It’s your call.  I use it and I really like it.  If you want to wait on it, it’s totally okay.  If you want to get it, here is the link:

WPSyndicator.com

Find, install and activate the free plugins above one by one.  Once you have installed and activated the “All in one SEO tools” plugin, you will need to configure it.  Do the following:

Click “Plugins.”  Find the “All in one SEO pack” plugin and click “Activate.”  On the left at the bottom you will see a down-arrow next to the word “Settings.”  Click it and then on the next page, make sure that your plugin status is set to “enabled.”  Now enter the following:

“Home Title” –       Enter your keyword:   “Acai Berry Colon Cleanse”

“Home Description” –       Enter your keyword again with a description after it:  “Acai Berry Colon Cleanse – Detox Your Body with Acai Berry.”

“Home Keywords” –       Enter your keyword again:  “Acai Berry Colon Cleanse.”

Scroll to the bottom of the page and click “update options.”

This process will optimize your site with all the correct meta tags for the search engines.  Meta tags operate behind the scenes of websites and are what Google and other search engines look for when indexing sites.

Now go back to the WordPress Admin screen and click on “Posts.”  Mouse-over the “hello world” post and select “edit.”  Delete “Hello World” and enter the following:  “Welcome to Acai Berry Colon Cleanse.”  Click “edit” next to the permalink and change if from “hello world” to your keyword.

On the right of the site, add a tag of your keyword “Acai Berry Colon Cleanse.”

Find the “Categories” section and uncheck “uncategorized” and click on “add a new category.”  Enter your keyword plus “information” (ex:  Acai Berry Colon Cleanse Information).

For the actual post body, we are going to enter something like: “CLICK HERE for information on Acai Berry Colon Cleanse.”  Next, highlight the text “CLICK HERE” and click on the link icon in the menu (it looks like this:  ).  Here, we need to enter a link for the program or product you are selling through your affiliate program (Click Bank for example).  You will get a link from the Click Bank website and it will look something like this:

http://81f64rgtiqgw3h7xcxm97gtil67.hop.clickbank.net/

Cut and paste this link into the link field (for the CLICK HERE text that you have highlighted) and click “insert.”  This will make the text in your post “CLICK HERE” a hyper-link that will drive visitors to your affiliate product.  The link contains code that identifies you as the originator so if the visitor purchases the program or product, you will get credit for the sale (commissions).  Next click “Update” and you have your first post!

You will want to add a few more posts over the next few weeks.  Consider writing an article (300 words or so) about some topic related to the item you are promoting.  The more relevant content your site has, the easier it will be to get ranked with the search engines.

Now that you have your site up and running, you will need to do some things to get it ranked.  Think of Google as a library and the Google search engine is the librarian.  If you walk into a library and ask for a book on black Italian leather couches, the librarian will help you to find the most relevant book according to your search criteria.  The librarian isn’t going to hand you a book on couches – that would be way too broad right?  You will probably end up with a book about Black Italian Leather Couches – the most relevant.  My point is that Google looks for the most relevant website based on the search terms entered (keywords) as compared to the website title, content and meta tags.

In addition, Google looks for sites that it believes to be the highest or best authority.  Google likes sites that it believes are important.  If there are 8,000 other websites on the web with links that lead back to your website, that shows Google that your site is “important” or an “authority” on whatever the subject matter is.  Those links that point back to your site are called Back Links and they are vital to search engine ranking.  Google (and other search engines) continually crawl the web and find links.  To have a shot at getting ranked, we need to create back links to our websites.  The popularity of your market and the amount of competition you are up against will dictate the number of back links you will need to create to get ranked.  Not all back links are considered equal however.  The higher the page ranking of the site with the link back to your site, the better quality the back link is. Search engines will only pay attention to your site if there are links to it from other high-ranking sites. Links from major social book marking and content publishing sites are considered a vote of confidence. If you have enough of them, and they are structured the right way, your site will rank well.

There are many ways to create back links to your site.  You can manually enter links to your site on other blog sites, there are programs available that will automatically post back links to your site and you can hire people to post back links as well.  You can write and post articles that contain links back to your site.  You can make videos that contain back links and post them at various video directories across the web.  Creating back links can seem like a daunting proposition and you can spend A LOT of money trying to build back links.  Please be VERY careful because there are a lot of advertisements on the web promising 1st page Google ranking and I believe that most of them are worthless.

I’m going to give you three options to getting your pages ranked very inexpensively.  I use all three of these methods and I’m able to get pretty much any website ranked on Page-1 of Google in about two weeks.  Some sites will get ranked right away and others seem to take forever.  Just keep at it and don’t get discouraged.

The first tool I use is an awesome program called Link Juicer. Link Juicer creates between 10 and 50 back links per day/per keyword.  The links are from high-ranking sites as well as major social book marking sites across the web.  The software creates the links gradually and intelligently so as not to flag your site.  It’s the best and easiest method I have found to create hundreds and even thousands of high quality back links over time.  The program will even convert your posts into e-books and then submit them to major software directories.  Link Juicer has a 30 day free trial with no obligation to continue beyond that.  Here is the link:

LinkJuicer.com

The second program I’m recommending is called Unique Article Wizard.  This is web-based software/program that’s amazing for getting sustainable, top ranking without buying back links.  The software takes an article (either pre-written or you can use the software to help you write one) and then “spins” it (creates three different versions of it so you don’t have duplicate content being submitted to different websites).  Then their staff actually reviews the articles, makes or suggests changes and then submits the articles to hundreds of article directories.  The best thing about this service is because they have a quality control department and real humans review the articles, they have deals with the article directory services that allow them to submit and upload articles quickly and in the proper niche.  It’s an awesome system and you are pretty much guaranteed tons of extra visitors and quicker page ranking if you decide to use it.

The last strategy is my own little secret.  I have a guy in India who is absolutely AMAZING!  He can help to get a site ranked in even the most saturated and competitive market.  He does a combination of the following for me:

1.  150 social book marking from top social book marking sites.

2.  1000+ PR0-9 directory submissions (These links are permanent)

3.  A link wheel to be created with pligg blasts

4.  Article submission to 100 article websites

5.  Alexa rank booster

This is literally thousands of dollars worth of SEO work that he does for me for $300 bucks!  If I posted his contact information here he would get flooded with calls and emails.  If you are interested in contacting him, send me an email and I will give you his contact information.  You can email me here:

You do NOT need to spend money to hire other people to do SEO work for you.  If you are trying to compete in a very highly saturated market, you may decide to enlist the help of someone like my guy in India to give you that additional competitive edge.  Using just the techniques listed here, you should start to see your site climbing up the ranks and eventually on page-1.

Good luck!

The information contained in this guide is a VERY BASIC overview of the steps to take to get a website published and eventually ranked on Google.  You can do nothing more than what you’ve learned here and you WILL have some level of success.  As I mentioned at the beginning, I learned everything I know from a program called Bring the Fresh that was created by two guys (Kelly Felix and Mike Long) who have had amazing success with Internet Marketing.  They have literally made millions online and created Bring the Fresh to teach others exactly how they did it.  Their program is an “over the shoulder” look and what they do, step-by-step to create successful and profitable websites.  You are even able to watch as they create a profitable website in front of you!  Bring the Fresh is very detailed and covers market research, in-depth SEO techniques and conversion (actually making money once you have a site up and ranked on Google).  As a Bring the Fresh member you have access to tons of material in the form of PDF’s as well as videos.  You also have access to the member’s forum, which is a great place to get support and have questions answered by Mike and Kelly as well as other Bring the Fresh members.  Every time I log in there is another success story about a BTF member who just made his first thousand bucks online.  I became a member about five months ago.  I now have about 23 websites, all on Google page-1.  I make about $2,500 per month on my sites and that figure goes up every week.  I was referred to Bring the Fresh by a close friend of mine so I had very little skepticism going into it.  In hindsight, it was the best $97 bucks I have ever spent!

If you have ANY interest in Internet Marketing, SEO, working from home, etc… click on the link below and become a Bring the Fresh member.  I promise you, you WILL be successful if you follow the very easy steps.  Good luck!
